Hey guys, hope you all had a good weekend! Overall, we had a very positive weekend at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for the finale of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup. We used the time well in free practice sessions, the second of which was in the wet, to make sure that we had a strong set-up for qualifying and the race. In qualifying, we missed the best time to go out right at the end of the session when the track was drying out, and ended up in 26th place, but we knew we would have a strong car for the race.
We quickly made up positions and by the end of the first hour we were running well within the top ten. We finished in ninth position, our best result of the season in this very competitive series. I would like to thank Belgian Audi Club Team WRT, and my team-mates Stephane Richelmi and Nathanael Berthon for all their hard work this year. I’ve learned a lot in my first season of Blancpain GT, and hope to come back stronger! Next for me is the Italian GT Championship race at Mugello Circuit for Audi Sport Italia this weekend.

Hello tout le monde, j’espère que vous allez bien ! Nous avons connu un week-end positif sur le Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, qui accueillait la finale de la Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup. Après des essais libres productifs sur le sec et sous la pluie, nous étions convaincus d’avoir bien préparé notre Audi R8 LMS pour les qualifications comme pour la course. En qualif’, tout s’est joué au niveau du timing sur une piste séchante et en constante amélioration. Si nous avons dû nous contenter du 26ème chrono, nous restions confiants quant à nos chances de bien figurer dimanche après-midi.
Nous avons d’ailleurs rapidement grappillé plusieurs positions si bien que nous avons conclu la première des trois heures de course dans le Top 10. Au final, nous avons coupé la ligne en neuvième position, soit notre meilleur résultat cette saison dans une série toujours plus relevée. Je tiens à remercier chaleureusement l’ensemble du Belgian Audi Club Team WRT, ainsi que mes coéquipiers Stéphane Richelmi et Nathanaël Berthon, pour tous les efforts fournis ensemble cette année. J’ai beaucoup appris tout au long de cette première campagne en Blancpain GT Series et j’espère y revenir plus fort !
